Haley and Randy's picture perfect Minneapolis summer wedding day was at Minneapolis Event Centers. We took lots of trips down to St. Anthony Main for the classic Minneapolis photo ops: with the couple after their first sight, with the wedding party, and then once more for the bride and groom's photo finale between toasts and dancing.
These two incorporated lots of themed wedding elements into their day, such as gifts for each other during getting ready, matching socks and pjs for the girls, beautiful florals everywhere (wow, Thistle & Blooms!), fun signage throughout the location (the seating chart, the day's schedule, the Nothing Bundt Cakes flavor options, etc.), and so much more! These two certainly know how to organize and throw a great party, and we enjoyed the day with pleasant weather and Just. Gorgeous. Light. All day!
During the ceremony, Haley and Randy exchanged two white roses, their first gift as a married couple, to seal their marriage and start - with intention - the many gifts they will give each other over the years. I hadn't seen that before and thought it was a sweet and creative way to do the "unity" element (other choice I've seen have been of course lighting the unity candle, combining different-colored sand, planting a tree together, sharing a bottle of wine, and others I'm just not recalling right now).
These two are high school sweethearts, as are their parents. There are a few mounted TVs around Minneapolis Event Centers so they had a slideshow going with photos of them together over the years. Prom, vacations, and big life events played throughout the day - a fun way for everyone to get a little peek into their many-year relationship, and less disruptive than a slideshow after dinner. The evening wrapped with the photo finale and lots of dancing, a wonderful day through and through!

Haley and Randy's engagement session was early last fall at one of my personal favorite go-to spots (in real life): at and around the Lake Nokomis Beach area. We incorporated all the options: sand, water, trees, walking path, and the big beach's Sand Castle restaurant. Engagement sessions are during the week for a couple of reasons, one being because I like to cut down on crowds - and why not enjoy a mid-week day off to hang out with your Somebody?!
