Amy & Matt | The Bachelor Farmer | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

Another Minneapolis wedding for the books! Amy and Matt had a lovely, intimate, personal wedding celebration around Minneapolis, starting at the The Kimpton Grand Hotel, passing through the Stone Arch Bridge and downtown side of the river, and then landing upstairs in the private rooms at The Bachelor Farmer.  The whole wedding consisted of Amy and Matt, their parents and step-parents, Matt's brother and sister-in-law, uncles, aunts, and a couple friends. A grand total of 16 people.  More proof that there are no rules to a wedding! You truly can do whatever you and your significant other want to represent your individual personalities, relationship, values, and priorities.  "There are no rules!" I say.

I love the variety of environments we were able to capture during Amy and Matt's day. The architecture of downtown Minneapolis during their first sight, the dramatically lit lobby area of the Kimpton Grand Hotel, the historic Stone Arch Bridge and urban, warehouse grunge (in a good way) feel of the river and Northeast. This was paired with the bright fun cool decor of The Bachelor Farmer.  We were gifted such wonderful weather and beautiful light all that weekend. I took full advantage in each of these unique Minneapolis locations.

Amy's stepdad officiated their ceremony which occurred just a bit into their cocktail hour. Everyone gathered around and Amy and Matt stood up near the fireplace.  Matt's dad who wasn't able to attend was honored nearby with a framed photo collage.  The cocktail hour continued and after a few more portraits, and then everyone moved into the dinner room and my photography coverage wrapped.

Amy and Matt's engagement session was last fall in Uptown and around Lake Calhoun at sunset - they lived in the area and we were able to incorporate more of their everyday life into their session.  They had framed some photos to display around the dinner room at The Bachelor Farmer. There are so many incredible places to photograph your Minneapolis wedding. I love how we were able to bring in several locations for this lovely couple!
