HI! I’M LAURIE AND I PHOTOGRAPH PORTRAITS AND EVENTS FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE AND CELEBRATE REAL LIFE.

Laurie is a not-shorter nickname for my legal name, Lauren, but it’s what I go by.  The “B” is for my middle name, Briana.

I fell for photography in my high school dark room. When I discovered this passion could translate into a real job, I started LBP in 2007, and it slowly grew into the best career I could ask for.

I LOVE this work, my clients, and preserving your moments for a lifetime. I try to focus on what really matters. Real life is perfect enough. “All in a lifetime,” as my Papa would say.

A few things about me, in no particular order:

• I have two sweet boys, Jackson and Miles, and a red lab named Mabel. Those monkeys plus my husband Tim have my heart.

• Ice cream and cookies are my favorite. And my mom’s “buster bar.” And a seasonal latte.

• I work out every day lest I be quite crabby.

• I consider myself incredibly lucky to do this job. This is what I’m meant to do.

• Since New Years Day 2020, I’ve been a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep - please check them out and considering supporting! It’s the least I can do for those babies with the training I have.

• If childhood tendencies predict future callings: As a kid, I spent time watching from the perimeter before joining in, saving things like stickers instead of using them so they’d last longer, and (re-)arranging things. How fitting for a photographer - preserve and save memories and moments to make them last - right?

• I’m terrible at telling stories. I think it’s a family trait. ;) But showing stories, through images, that is where I shine!
