10.13.18 Kate & Matt | MN State Fair Wedding Photography
Kate and Matt's Minnesota State Fair fall wedding was simply the best! That's right - they got married at the State Fair! Best of all, they had fair-themed catering: sliders and fries, corn on the cob, Sweet Martha's cookies, dessert bars, and then mini donuts and cheese curds for a late night snack.
At our introductory consultation, I told Kate and Matt that even if they didn't hire me as their photographer, I may just show up for the food and dessert anyway (kidding, or not...).
My second photographer Trish, assistant Jenny, and I started their day with Getting Ready coverage at the Saint Paul Hotel, where we also did the couple's First Sight and Family Portraits.
Then, their ceremony was held in the Schilling Amphitheater within the fairgrounds. After a sweet, personalized ceremony, the couple's receiving line led guests right to the very-nearby History and Heritage Center for cocktail hour and the rest of the evening's events.
Enough of the logistics, here's the good stuff: Kate and Matt's wedding was an absolute dream to photograph - these two are so fun and personable and easy to hang out with. This photo trio felt like we were part of the gang and had a total blast capturing their beautiful day! To top it all off, Kate sent me the nicest note ever the following week. Melts my heart! Check out Kate and Matt's summer Minneapolis engagement session at Silverwood Park (technically in St. Antony) and The Sample Room restaurant (they were so kind to let us swing through so another thank you to them).
